Inside 43215: Downtown Draw
FALL HARVEST BRINGS FEAST
The days are getting chilly, but you still have time to stock up on fruits and veggies and other great stuff, right downtown. Come on down to Pearl Market and see plenty in full bloom and harvest ready.
The 2011 season wraps up at the end of the month, so plan now to shop every Tuesday and Friday while farmers and merchants are still in Pearl and Lynn Alleys. If you tell us what you’ve enjoyed the most this year or what you would like to see in Pearl Market next season, you’ll be entered to win 30.00 in Pearl Market tokens (they spend just like cash!).
Having a hard time narrowing it down? Take a peek here to see some of your choices. And enter a comment below by Friday, October 7 for a chance to win.

I would love to see more vendors with produce, cheese, meats and less stuff like the Dispatch. I miss the luna burger and olive orchard lady!

Mini cupcakes from Let them Eat Cupcakes. Yum! Definitely my favorite – although the N’Awlins style pralines were also delicious (can’t remember the name of the vendor who made them, sorry!).

My favorite thing is the sweet corn! And all the fresh veggies. Not sure it is would be legal, but Ohio wineries selling bottles of wine would be a great addition!

I love all the fresh veggies. I miss the Three Babes and a Baker! Would like to see some more natural products, cosmetics, lotions and beauty products. I would like to see some perfumes and some sports apparel.

I’ve been admiring the river rock jewelry since last summer. They were all so attractive that I couldn’t decide which one to get. Then I had the idea to get one each for all my daughters (in-laws, steps, birth). So I thoroughly enjoyed picking out and buying 4 of them.

I love the fresh veggies, but I’d love to see more meats. And yes, I agree with Joe—bring back Luna Burger!

Best corn on earth, purple potatoes, green beans, cabbage. Makes me feel good just to think of how lucky I am to have this stuff a short walk away, sold by lovely, friendly Ohioans who make me doubly happy to buy from them. And the bakers, how could I forget? Breads and pies are my faves but I’m only barely resisting temptation on other items. And here’s a shout out for the music. Great! And the food truck that sold me my first ever goat lunch this summer….ok, enough already. I love the farmers market!
