To Market to Market: Halfway point
I can’t believe we’ve reached the halfway point of the 2009 Market season. What a good season it’s been! I had an amazing time meeting all the vendors and learning how the market moves. It is vibrant and full of life and you can feel it as you turn on Broad St. in the morning. You walk down the windy alley and it is alive full of those people who make and do. Full of the indie spirit I love so much…
So, you’ve been hearing from me all season long. What do YOU have to say about the Market??

The Pearl Market is always fun to attend. The fresh produce is usually quite attractive, although a bit pricy compared to other farmers’ markets in the city. The small tented food vendors offer an eclectic assortment, but the samosas and catfish sandwiches are especially recommended.

I love that the Pearl Market has attracted vendors from all over Ohio, including Northwest Ohio. Wentz’s farm’s kettle corn is delicious and they are from my hometown in Seneca County!

The Pearl Market is wonderful! I am a gardner myself, but I have enjoyed coming to the market purchasing, fresh delicious veggies I have not grown. Simply wonderful!

I’m glad you have a photo of my favorite vendor at the Pearl Market – Si Senor. Holy Moley. Egg Salad and Avocado? This is the yum.

The Pearl Market is an excellent attraction in downtown. I am very thankful for it. I grow many of my own veggies but I try to support the vendors. I am going to try the kettle corn from Seneca County. Thanks Melissa!
