El Arepazo rocks! Chicken burrito is the bomb, plantains with spicy cilantro sauce are to die for. The only thing I don’t like is their rice, but I just have a thing about rice and it’s nothing personal about them. It’s never a problem to have the rice left out! Carlos and Carolina run a great place, and I hope they eventually move into a larger location (like empty Skambo across the alley?). Sometimes I can’t eat lunch there because the line is too long, and I know I won’t be able to place my order and eat my food within my alloted hour. Get there by 11:30 a.m. or be prepared for a long wait!
If I go out for lunch, I usually go to El Arepazo and I, more often than not, order patacon or the tostada. I love the fried plantains and the cilantro sauce. The portion is more than enough to satisfy me but I end up eating everything. I don’t mind standing in line but I wish they had more space. Thanks to Carlos and Carolina for letting us enjoy all the great food!
Having lived in Southern California for 15 years, I was truly disappointed when I moved back to the midwest to find a lack of quality Latin American (including Mexican) food. And I don’t want to hear one word about El Vaquero. That place is a joke. Anyway, I work downtown and was ecstatic to find El Arepazo. I’ve been there maybe 30 times and I can honestly say it’s the best Latin American fare in central Ohio! Give Carlos a visit. It will be worth your trouble.
oh my god. best place ever! the other day i tried their special of the day a cuban sandwich, and u know how places serve a “cuban” and u eat it and its pretty good? well, el arepazos cuban is a REAL cuban, it is soooo freakin good with serrano ham and some kind of garlic mayo wow. everything i get here is better then the last thing i got! please stay forever…and im not one to get overly excited about things. that says a lot!
