Franklin County Courthouse
Generally speaking, a trip to the courthouse is associated with litigation, massive expenses and conflict.
But a trip to the Franklin County Courthouse is the exception to the rule. It’s a marvel worthy of a sight-seeing expedition. The spectacular seven-story 300,000 square foot building boasts beautiful translucent glass walls. At times, you can literally see the insides from the outside.
While visitors to the courthouse can learn about the justice system, they can learn about energy efficiency too. The building is made of high-performing sustainable building materials, it minimizes pollution and uses energy saving design features.

When it opens in 2011, the Franklin County Courthouse will connect the northern and southern ends of Downtown and enhance the appearance of the southern portion of the City.
