Introduction

Public input from the second public meeting showed strong community support for all of the 12 Ideas and 10 Principles. The third public meeting celebrated the results of the public planning process and presented key stakeholders and 8 Strategies that will help to transform the plan's vision to reality. 12 Ideas Implementation and 8 Strategies [Information]

The 12 Ideas are intended to inspire Columbus to think big and bring people together around common goals and projects. In order to move forward, each of these ideas must be further studied and developed into full-fledged proposals. The planning team identified potential actors, potential leads and general timeframes for each of the 12 Ideas.

Individual projects alone will not be enough to guide the continued revitalization of Downtown Columbus. To enable and encourage the 12 Ideas presented at the second public meeting, there are 8 Strategies that need to be enacted and employed. The 8 Strategies identify policy areas that will provide the framework needed to guide redevelopment and ensure that Downtown Columbus reaches its full potential.
